Biographical Information[edit]
Sandy Burk pitched five seasons in the majors. His best year was his 1912 season, when he posted an ERA of 2.55 in 53 innings split among the Brooklyn Superbas and St. Louis Cardinals. Burk played for Marion in 1907-1908 and then pitched for Fort Worth in 1909-10. He went 25-12 in 1910 and came up to the majors in September 1910. From 1913-1915, he played for Indianapolis and thereafter was with Minneapolis for several years. He won 21 games for the 1916 Minneapolis Millers, a team for which Earl Yingling led with 24 victories.
