The San Jose Spitfires won the 1997 Ladies Professional Baseball League title. They remained in the league in 1998, the year it folded. They played their games at San Jose Municipal Stadium.
Victoria Brucker, who played in the 1989 Little League World Series was on the Spitfires in 1997.
