The Sammi Superstars were a original member of the Korea Baseball Organization in 1982. The Superstars finished in last place in the league's inaugural season with a record of 15-65 (.188), the worst record in KBO history. The team finished last in every season except 1983, when it placed third. On June 29, 1985 the team changed its name to the Chungbo Pintos.
