Samaná (province)

Samaná is a province of the Dominican Republic, located on the north side of Hispaniola, that includes the peninsula that defines Samaná Bay, to the south; its northern coast is on the Caribbean Sea. Its capital and principal city is usually also called Samaná rather than by its formal name of Santa Barbara de Samaná. Other towns include El Limón and Sanchez.
