Biographical Information

Pitcher Sam Lowry appeared in six games over two seasons with the Philadelphia Athletics. He also spent time in the minors with the Wilmington Blue Rocks and the Baltimore Orioles. After retiring from baseball, he ran a sports bar for several years. He also later drove a cab and was an umpire in local games. Lowry died at age 72.
