Biographical Information[edit]
Sam Greene pitched for McGill University and in the Inter-County Baseball League while working on a degree in strategic management. As a native of Philadelphia, PA, he was attending Montreal's prestigious English-language university for its academics and not for its sports program. Still, he managed to make it into the professional baseball ranks when he was hired as a research and development intern by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2021. He then received a number of promotions, including to Pitching Research Analyst in 2023 and Senior Pitching Research Specialist in 2024. In 2025, he was added to the major league coaching staff as an assistant pitching coach, working with pitching coach Pete Walker and bullpen coach Graham Johnson.
