He played in California's Imperial Valley League during the winter of 1915-16, according to The California Winter League, hitting .300 for Calexico. The April 21, 1917 Sporting Life announced that he had been sold by St. Louis to St. Paul, but later in July of the same year St. Louis sold him to Milwaukee. He was in 21 games with St. Paul in 1917. He was accused of being approached to throw a game, but was later cleared and won a libel suit. Bohne ultimately played professionally from 1910-1929 and, after baseball, was an investment broker.
