Sal Colangelo
Sal Colangelo is a summer collegiate manager and high school athletic director. Colangelo played at Virginia Tech. He landed his first coaching job as an assistant at Christopher Newport University then moved onto Potomac High School. He is currently athletic director at C.D. Hylton High School.
Colangelo is most notable for managing the Bethesda Big Train of the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League, where he has won seven league championships. They have missed the playoffs only once since Colangelo became manager in 2005. In 2011 the Big Train finished 33-9 and were named summer collegiate national champions.
