Biographical Information[edit]

The brother of Casey Rogowski, outfielder Ryan Rogowski is in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.

In high school, Ryan was an All-State wrestler, winning a state championship as a senior. He also was a football and baseball star. He hit .325 in community college in 2003. Moving on to the University of Illinois, he hit .278/.393/.368 as a sophomore and was 10 for 12 in steals. He led the Big 10 Conference in 3B (6) and SB (31) in 2005 and batted .374/.441/.522. He was 6th in the Conference in average and made the All-Conference team.

Signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Rogowski batted .312/.429/.471 for the 2006 Ogden Raptors and stole 30 bases in 35 tries. He scored 64 runs in 70 contests. He was 10th in the Pioneer League in average and led the league in runs (six ahead of runner-up Chris Valaika) while tying Stephen Chapman for the triple lead.
