Biographical Information

Ryan Fuller played for the University of Connecticut at Avery Point for two years before joining the University of Connecticut Huskies for his final two years of college. He graduated in 2012 with a degree in English. After graduation Fuller signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks as an undrafted free agent and spent the 2012 season with the AZL Diamondbacks, hitting .252/.336/.364 and fielding .855 at the hot corner, where he was their main option. Fuller later earned a master's degree in education from the University of New Haven. Fuller put his degrees to work as a high school English teacher from 2015-2019.

Fuller has enjoyed a varied coaching career. He established Fuller Hitting in 2010 to provide private hitting instruction and worked out of the Power in Training (The PIT) facility for many years. He also has college and high school coaching experience. Fuller was an assistant coach at Quinnipiac University in 2013. He followed that by coaching at Lyme-Old Lyme High School, Valley Regional High School (2016), and Haddam-Killingworth High School (2017-2019). All three high schools play baseball in Connecticut's Shoreline Conference.

In the fall of 2019 the Baltimore Orioles significantly overhauled their minor league coaching system and hired a number of coaches from non-traditional backgrounds. Ryan Fuller was one of the new hires and was slated for a hitting coach position with the Delmarva Shorebirds before the minor league season was cancelled due to COVID-19. He was hitting coach of the Bowie BaySox in 2021 and also served as the minor league full-season hitting coordinator. In 2022, he was promoted to hitting coach of the parent Orioles, sharing the job with Matt Borgschulte, with both receiving the title of "co-hitting coach". Fuller returned to this role in 2023 as the team won the division crown, and continued in 2024.
