Biographical Information[edit]
Ryan Chipka played college baseball at Rochester College and is the only four-time captain in program history. He helped lead the program to back-to-back USCAA Small College World Series appearances, including a third-place finish in 2012. Chipka was named an All-American on the field to go along with being named a three-time Academic All-American. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in secondary education in 2012.
Prior to joining the college coaching ranks, Chipka coached various sports at the high school level, worked part-time at a baseball training facility, and was an associate scout for the Arizona Diamondbacks. The New York Yankees hired Chipka in 2020 to be the Staten Island Yankees hitting coach before the coronavirus pandemic caused the cancellation of the minor league season.
