Biographical Information

Ryan Childswas drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 1999 amateur draft out of high school but didn't sign. He was drafted again, this time by the Baltimore Orioles in 2002 amateur draft from Clemson University. He played in the O's organization from 2003 to 2004 but never made it past AAA (one game there) then spent 2005 in the independent leagues. He had gone 14-14 with two saves and a 4.56 ERA in his pro career.
