Biographical information[edit]

Rusty Stroupe was a college coach.

Stroupe coached at North Greenville University from 1991-1992 and Brevard College from 1993-1997, with a trip to the 1994 NJCAA Division I Baseball World Series. He then guided Lander University from 1998-2002 and Gardner-Webb University from 2003-2019, going 474-461-2 there to set the school record for wins. He coached Blake Lalli and Emilio Pagán, the first two big leaguers from Gardner-Webb. Overall, he was 829-695-2 as a college coach.

Stroupe started his coaching career at Mooresville Junior High School, then moved to West Henderson High School. He was an assistant at Appalachian State University before becoming head coach at North Greenville.
