"The Cubs have paid $2000 for Schwenck, a Memphis pitcher, who is touted as a good one. He won .580 per cent of his games last season, and is said to have improved greatly public sentiment in doing so." - Sporting Life, September 18, 1909
Rudy Schwenck pitched three games in the majors for the Chicago Cubs in 1909. He started two of the games, winning the last one against the St. Louis Cardinals.
He is not to be confused with Hal Schwenk.
