Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Rudy Briner played in the minor leagues from 1939 to 1956, missing 1942-1945 due to military service. He moved up the St. Louis Browns' chain from 1939 to 1946, reaching the Eastern League for 22 games in 1946. He then spent the rest of his career in the lower minor leagues in the Texas and Louisiana area. Overall, Briner hit .300 in 1534 games.
