Royal Rooters
The Royal Rooters were an organization of Boston fans, mostly Irish immigrants, who considered themselves to be the most loyal fans. During the 1903 World Series, they are sometimes credited as having helped the Boston Americans to a victory through their unique form of cheering.
One of the Rooters' favorite songs was "Tessie", which was adapted and recorded in 2004 by modern fans of the Boston Red Sox, the Celtic-inspired rock band the Dropkick Murphys.
