Biographical Information[edit]
Roy Parker made his debut for the 1919 St. Louis Cardinals (and manager Branch Rickey) on the same day that another rookie pitcher, Will Koenigsmark, made his debut. Koenigsmark was from a part of Illinois near St. Louis, while Parker was from Missouri. Neither ever pitched again in the majors after their few games that season.
Not many major leaguers have been born on February 29, but Roy Parker and Ralph Miller were not only born on February 29, they were born on the same day - February 29, 1896.
