He had as many hits as his twin (46) but it took him 35 more at-bats. He batted .324 with 91 RBI for the '54 Jacksonville Beach Sea Birds (outhit by his brother, who batted .387 with 96 RBI). He split 1955 between the Sherbrooke Indiens (.303) and Fargo-Moorhead Twins (.281). In '56, the 21-year-old batted .304 with 97 RBI for the Yakima Bears and was 4th in the Northwest League in runs batted in. He concluded his career in 1957 with the Reading Indians (.275/~.333/.341) and Keokuk Kernels (.294/~.384/.431).
Roy pitched a no-hitter in the only game he pitched in his high school career, against St. Xavier High School. [citation needed]
