Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Roy Hodge played six seasons in the Baltimore Orioles chain, from 1990 through 1996, after the O's drafted him in the ninth round in 1990. Hodge grew up on St. Thomas but attended high school in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Hodge only got as high as Double-A ball, and that for just 29 games in 1995. He didn't have much power, hitting 22 homers in his time as a Baltimore farmhand -- but he did have good speed. He stole 44 bases in 1992, 50 in 1993, 73 in 1994, 70 in 1995, and 63 in 1996.

He played in the independent Northeast League from 1997 through 1999.
