Biographical Information

Pitcher Ross Powell died tragically on October 25, 2017 when his body and that of his father were recovered from a van stopped on a street in Lucas, TX, both occupants having succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning. He was 49 and his father, Lyle Powell, was 72. Powell had recently opened a lawn care business, and he was found in his company's vehicle which had been infested with chemical fumes, likely due to a leak from some of the products that were carried in the van.
