Biographical Information[edit]
Ron Shirley pitched two years in the minors. His son Steve Shirley played in the majors. Ron was 1-2 in 7 games for the 1954 Bakersfield Indians and Visalia Cubs. In 1955, he was with the San Angelo Colts (1-0) and Clovis Pioneers (2-3, 8.02 in 30 G), for a career record of 4-5 in 40 games. He later was a civilian employee of the defense department.
