Biographical Information[edit]

Ron Allen pitched in the Boston Red Sox organization from 1992 to 1994.

He pitched for the GCL Red Sox and Winter Haven Red Sox in his debut professional season, going 0-2 with two saves and a 3.72 ERA in 14 games (two starts), while walking 35 batters in 29 innings. In 1993, he went 6-5 with a 5.03 ERA in 26 games (10 starts) for the Fort Lauderdale Red Sox (56 BB in 78 2/3 IP) and in 1994, he went 1-0 with a 10.12 ERA for the Lynchburg Red Sox.

Overall, Allen went 7-7 with a 5.06 ERA in 49 games (12 starts). In 115 2/3 innings, he walked 95 batters and struck out only 71.
