Biographical Information[edit]
Romeil Agladius has played for the Croatian national team for several years. In the 2001 European Championship, Agladius was 4 for 13 with 3 RBI and was second on Croatia in average; his defense was abysmal, though, with 6 passed balls in 6 games and 16 steals allowed in 18 tries.
Agladius batted .400/.438/.467 in the 2003 European Championship, second on Croatia in average behind Marko Pavlakovic. He hit .350/.435/.350 in the 2050 European Championship and made no errors but had 7 passed balls and allowed 10 steals in 11 tries. The story was far different at the 2007 European Championship, when the 30-year-old backstop was just 1 for 17 with 9 strikeouts; he had two errors in four games but no passed balls and threw out 1 of 3 would-be base-thieves.
In the 2008 European Championship Qualifiers in Karlovac, Agladius was 1 for 10 with 2 walks, a run and a RBI, tying for the lowest average on the first-place Croatian squad. He had an error, passed ball and two steals allowed in two tries.
