Biographical Information[edit]

Marko Pavlakovic played for Croatia in the 2001 European Championship, going 0-1 with a 12.60 ERA and seven walks in five innings; he was 0 for 2 at the plate. In the 2003 European Championship, he walked 6 and allowed 3 runs in 2 2/3 innings as Croatia's worst hurler, going 0-1; on the other hand, he hit very well, going 6 for 14 with a walk, triple, five runs and two RBI. He led the team in runs, tied for 10th in the tourney.

He hit .231/.286/.308 at the 2005 European Championship but struggled on the mound (2 1/3 IP, 4 H, 6 BB, 8 R, 7 ER); only Dan Vardijan had a higher ERA for the team. In the 2007 European Championship, he was 2 for 14 with a triple, 3 times hit by pitch and 3 runs.
