Roman Rodriguez played in the Pittsburgh Pirates farm system from 1988 to 1995. After his playing days, he was bullpen catcher for the Kansas City Royals from 1997 to 2000 and for the Boston Red Sox in 2001. Since 2002, he has been the New York Yankees batting practice pitcher.
