Roger Sund
Biographical Information[edit]
Roger Sund was an outfielder for the Swedish national team. He hit .259/.375/.333 in the 1993 European Championship, leading right fielders in defense (18 PO, 0 E; Jamel Boutagra was next with 14 chances without an error) and also pacing all outfielders (19 TC, 0 E), one chance ahead of Marco Ubani. In the 1994 Baseball World Cup, he batted .231/.286/.231 and fielded .966 in center with two assists in seven games. His average was above the team mean in their first Baseball World Cup appearance. He put up a .217/.367/.261 batting line in the 1995 European Championship with a team-high 8 runs and 3 steals in 7 games. He ended his Swedish career in the 2004 Elitserien with the Leksand Lumberjacks.
