Biographical Information[edit]
Roger Carey played in the majors one time, on July 9, 1887. The New York Giants had some injuries, and brought Carey from the reserve team along with Bill Swarback. He drove in two runs but was 0-for-4 at the plate. TheDeadballEra.com states he died of "Phthisis Pulmonalis".
He managed in the minors for part of the 1889 season.
