Biographical Information[edit]

Rodrigo Vigil joined the Florida Marlins organization in 2010 and played in their minor league system from 2010-2019. He reached AAA in 2019 for the first time and played 15 games for the New Orleans Baby Cakes. After not playing in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, Vigil completed his playing career in the Toronto Blue Jays system in 2021. Overall, Vigil hit .246/.300/.309 in eleven minor league seasons. In the later part of his career he also played in the winter-time Dominican League.

The Seattle Mariners hired Vigil in 2022 as a bench coach for the ACL Mariners. He only stayed with the Mariners for one year before moving to the Toronto Blue Jays organization as a rehabilitation coach. In 2024 he focused his efforts on position players as the rehabilitation position coach.
