Biographical Information

Rodrigo Rosario was signed by scout Rick Aponte for the Houston Astros in July 1996. He made his pro debut the next summer for the DSL Astros.

Rosario endured a major shoulder injury in his second major league appearance. He had surgery to repair labrum and rotator-cuff injuries and to fix a torn biceps tendon. He missed the rest of 2003 and all of 2004, then was taken by the Florida Marlins in the minor league draft, but never pitched in the majors or minors again.
