Biographical Information

Infielder Rod Booker was signed as a 4th round pick in the 1980 amateur draft by the Minnesota Twins and scout Lee Irwin. He saw action in five big league seasons as a backup infielder with the St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies from 1987 to 1991. Rod's son, Austin, was a senior on the baseball team at Cal in 2011 and played in the minors from 2011 to 2013.
