Biographical Information[edit]
Rocky Stone pitched 13 games for the 1943 Cincinnati Reds.
He pitched in the minors from 1940-50, missing some years due to the war. In 1941 with Ogden he was 17-11.
He is not to be confused with an American League outfielder also named John Stone, also nicknamed "Rocky". Possibly this Rocky Stone was named after that one, although it is rather obvious to append the nickname "Rocky" to someone named Stone.
