Biographical Information[edit]

Robert van Lent helped the Belgian national team win Bronze at the 1977 European Championship. In the 1978 Baseball World Cup, he started at 2B for Belgium and hit .263/.333/.263 with two runs in seven games, but fielded .731 with 7 errors. He tied Walter Koeck for the team lead in errors but his five hits tied Willy Lagrilliere for second on the team and his batting line outpaced the team one of .126/.193/.146. He ended his first First Division career in 1992 with the Antwerp Royal Greys.
