Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Robert Zimmerman played in the Philadelphia Phillies organization from 1949 to 1951. With the Appleton Papermakers in 1949, he went 8-9 with a 4.05 ERA in 56 games (which is the all-time Wisconsin State League record). With the Salina Blue Jays in 1950, he went 8-3, 4.47 ERA in 53 games and in 1951, back with Salina, he was 12-6 with a 3.71 ERA in 44 games. Overall, Zimmerman went 28-18 with a 4.05 ERA in 153 games.
