Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder/first baseman Robert White played in the Detroit Tigers system from 1956 to 1958. He slashed .293/.339/.458 with 7 home runs, 50 RBI and 20 doubles in 75 games between three clubs his first campaign, then batted .283/.373/.339 with one home run and 28 RBI in 74 games for the Valdosta Tigers in 1957. He had 33 walks to just 22 strikeouts. In 1958, he hit .184/.265/.253 with no home runs and 7 RBI in 22 games for the Montgomery Rebels. Overall, White hit .274/.343/.379 with 8 home runs and 85 RBI in 614 at-bats.
