Biographical Information[edit]

Third baseman Robert White played for the Mooresville Moors of the North Carolina State League from 1938 to 1940. His first campaign, he hit .335 with 156 hits, 32 doubles and the only 5 home runs of his career in 112 games to tie James Canty for the league lead in hits. His marks fell to .265 and .275 in the succeeding years, respectively. Overall, White hit .294 with 372 hits and 61 doubles in 320 games. He averaged one home run every 253 at-bats.
