Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Robert Manuel was signed by scout Doug Gassaway for the New York Mets as an undrafted free agent in 2005. Manuel was a shortstop in high school and junior college, and took up pitching at Sam Houston State University.
Manuel made his major league debut on his 26th birthday.
