Robert Klaver

Robert Klaver has played and coached in Hoofdklasse.

Klaver debuted in Hoofdklasse as a player for Haarlem Nicols in 1982. He played with the Hoofddorp Pioniers in Hoofdklasse in 1984, 1986, 1987 and 1993. He spent the rest of his career in lower classifications. In 2002, Klaver was hired as head coach of the Pioniers. In 2005, he led them to a 28-12-2 finish, second in Hoofdklasse, and he was 107-56-8 in four years at the helm. He then retired. He returned with RCH for 2008. In 2011, he again piloted the Pioniers, leading them to a spot in the 2011 Holland Series. He coached for the Netherlands in the 2014 European Championship.
