Robert Baumler played two seasons in the Boston Red Sox organization before an injury cut short his baseball career. He hit .247/~.351/.375 in 86 games for the Scranton Miners and .252/~.357/.463 in 34 contests for the Oneonta Red Sox in 1950. In 1951, Baumler hit .200/?/.386 in 43 games for the Roanoke Ro-Sox and was 10 for 31 with a double and two homers with Scranton. He later went on to work in advertising for TV Guide magazine.
