Biographical Information[edit]

Robelin Bautista started his college playing career at Independence Community College before transferring to Point Park University after his freshman year. In his three years at Point Park he served as a lightly-used relief pitcher. Bautista graduated in December 2019 with a degree in Sports, Arts & Entertainment Management.

In 2020 Bautista parlayed his degree into a Gulf Coast League Player Development Internship with the Toronto Blue Jays. The initial plan was for Bautista to spend most of his time on the field with occasional office work. But COVID-19 altered those plans as explained in the link below. Bautista returned to the GCL Blue Jays in 2021 though it is unclear what position he held with the team. In 2022 he was a Short-Season Player Development & Transitions Assistant in the Blue Jays system. Bautista finally made it onto the field as a pitching coach for the DSL Blue Jays in 2023-2024.
