Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Rob Pietroburgo was drafted in the 19th round of the 1977 amateur draft by the Montreal Expos. He returned to college for his senior year, then was drafted in the 14th round of the 1978 amateur draft by the Seattle Mariners.
On December 6, 1979 the Seattle Mariners traded Pietroburgo, Rafael Vasquez, and a player to be named later to the Cleveland Indians for Ted Cox. The Mariners sent Bud Anderson (March 29, 1980) to the Indians to complete the trade.
Pietroburgo never made the majors.
