Biographical Information

Relief pitcher Rob Nixon has played in the Cleveland Indians minor league system since 2011 (through 2014). He was taken by the club in the 46th round of the 2011 amateur draft.

He began his career as a starter, making 15 starts for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in 2011. For 2012 and beyond, he converted to relieving and posted marks of 3.95 and 4.89 in 2012 and 2013, respectively, and led the Carolina League in 2013 with 43 appearances. He began 2014 with the Carolina Mudcats.
