Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Rob Mallicoat was selected by the Houston Astros in the secondary phase of the January 1984 amateur draft. He nearly won the Florida State League Pitching Triple Crown in 1985 with the Osceola Astros. His 16 wins and 179 strikeouts led the league, but his 1.36 ERA was second to Greg Mathews' 1.11.
