Ricky Carvajal
Ricky Carvajal Diaz
Biographical Information[edit]
Ricky Carvajal played college ball at the College of the Albemarle and Paine College. He was a two-time HBCU All-American and picked up all-conference accolades twice. Academically, Carvajal finished his undergraduate degree in Business Administration in 2018 before embarking on a master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Augusta University. He completed his master's in 2020.
Carvajal was a very busy man in this time period, holding multiple jobs in addition to his academic studies. From 2018-2022 he held a part-time job with Platinum Sports and Complete Game where he served as the head coach for a 17U travel team. He also stayed with Paine College as an assistant baseball coach in 2018-2019. He then moved over to the softball team at Paine and worked as their head coach from August 2019 through early 2023. While head coach, he worked as a part-time baseball assistant coach with the Fox Creek High School Predators during the 2021 season, even though Fox Creek is located in another state (South Carolina). Admittedly, Fox Creek is only about a 30 minute drive from Augusta, GA where Paine College is located.
In 2023 Carvajal joined the Milwaukee Brewers organization as a Player Development Intern. This internship led to a 2024 job as a development coach with the ACL Brewers.
