Biographical Information[edit]
Rick Vanderhook is a college coach.
Vanderhook was with Cal State Fullerton as a player when they won the 1984 College World Series. He then was as an assistant coach under Augie Garrido from 1985-1988 and at Cal State Northridge from 1989-1990. From 1991-2007, he was assistant coach at Cal State Fullerton. He was assistant coach at UCLA from 2008-2011. In June 2011, he got his first head coaching job, replacing Dave Serrano as head coach of Cal State Fullerton. He went to 11 College World Series before that selection. In June 2021 Vanderhook announced his retirement, effective in December.
