Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Rick Tronerud was drafted in the 14th round of the 1972 amateur draft by the Oakland A's. His career lasted from 1972 to 1981, all in the A's chain. He was listed on the A's 1977 spring roster, but never made the majors.
Tronerud was the pitching coach for the Huntsville Stars from 1986 to 1989. He has been the pitching coach for the AZL Cubs from 2001 to 2010. In 2011-2012, he was the Cubs' rehabilitation pitching coach.
