Biographical Information[edit]

Rick Lisi played 9 games for the Texas Rangers in 1981, posting a nice OBP of .450.

Rick was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in Canada, and went to high school in Pittsfield, MA. After being drafted in the 13th round in 1974, he played 12 seasons in the minors, including three years with the Tulsa Oilers and five with various teams in the International League. He had 101 minor league home runs.

The book Baseball in Asheville has a photo of the 1976 Asheville Tourists team which includes him.

With the 1981 Rangers he mostly played right field, a position that was usually manned that year by Johnny Grubb and Leon Roberts.
