Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Richie Palacios is the brother of Joshua Palacios and the nephew of Rey Palacios. He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 3rd round of the 2018 amateur draft, out of Towson University.

He made his major league debut for the now Cleveland Guardians on April 25, 2022, starting in left field and batting 9th against the Los Angeles Angels. He went 2 for 3, both hits coming against Michael Lorenzen, but the rest of his teammates combined for only one other hit as the Guardians lost the game, 3-0.

His mother is from Curaçao, making him and his brother eligible to play for the Netherlands national team at the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
