Richard Martinez (Son of Slam)

Biographical Information[edit]

Richard Martinez was a catcher who hit the decisive Game 7 grand slam to win the 1983 Guam Major League title, earning him the nickname "Son of Slam". [1] He was on the Guam national team in the 1989 Asian Championship. [2] He was the long-time clerk at the Superior Court of Guam. [3]
