Biographical Information[edit]
The Cleveland Indians signed pitcher Richard De Los Santos out of the Dominican Republic and he played in their minor league system in 2003 and 2004. He spent the remainder of his minor league career through 2011 in the Tampa Bay Rays organization, reaching AAA on three occasions. In nine minor league seasons De Los Santos had a 42-28 record with 35 saves. He pitched in 199 games overall, 49 of them as a starter.
After ten years away from affiliated ball, De Los Santos reappeared in 2022 as an assistant pitching coach for the Great Lakes Loons in the Los Angeles Dodgers player development system. He moved up to pitching coach for the Loons in 2023-2024.
