Biographical Information

Richard Cosgrove played baseball at the University of Valley Forge for one season before transferring to the College of Southern Maryland for his sophomore year. Cosgrove completed his undergraduate degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management online in 2021 from the University of Louisville.

According to his LinkedIn page, Cosgrove worked a variety of baseball related jobs which going through college.[1] During his senior year he worked as a hitting coach for Lackawanna College. However, he left the Falcons in March to take a Sports Science Internship with the San Diego Padres which lasted until the completion of the major league season.

The Baltimore Orioles hired Cosgrove in 2022 as a Technology Coordinator for the Delmarva Shorebirds. He moved up to the Norfolk Tides in 2023 in the same role. In 2024 Cosgrove took another step forward in his career by serving as a development coach for the FCL Orioles.
